Colani GT designed by Luigi Colani

Luigi Colani designed the doorless roadster with a body made of plastic. It was delivered in 1962 for self-assembly on a Volkswagen chassis. Supposedly only 261 Colanis have been built. Linda Pelzmann's is an original, with 900 mm total height. The Porsche brake system from the 356 is responsible for slowing the car down. The combination of very direct steering with the extremely low weight class of 610 kg make for a highly agile and harmony to race car. The chrome 356-drop center rims underline the sports car flair from the 60-ies, just like the black bucket seats and the paint in the Gulf Racing Design.
